Wedding in the castle

Hello, everypony!

Last article was about a wedding in the forest, this time we have another wedding in the castle! Let me introduce you to ponies I bought in a huge set in April! It took me a long time until I finally decided to buy it. It cost 500 CZK (which is circa 20 EUR) and it included many ponies that I already had... But also a lot of ponies that I really wanted. So, what lead to my final decision?

Pony lot with a lot of ponies, haha

First let's talk about the castle. It comes from fourth generation of My Little Pony, from a "Wedding Castle Playset" released in 2012. It included some accessories (sadly I didn't get all of it, since it's second hand), but most important in the set is Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and her husband Shining Armor.

Starsong (My Little Pony G3 2009 Core Friends)

First reason to buy this lot: this beloved pegas of mine. Starsong was my the most favourite pony in my childhood. I was so obsessed with her, I was using her color scheme aka blue+purple+pink everywhere. I even decorated my art file in school with these colors, not knowing I'm basically drawing bisexual flags in all my artworks. Let me tell you, the foreshadowing of my life was insane. Getting this pony was one of my goals, and now I've finally reached it. ♥

Shining Armor & Princess Cadence (My Little Pony G4)

Shining Armor & Princess Cadence (My Little Pony G4)

Reason number two: these bebes. At first I didn't feel the need to get much G4 ponies, but then I started watching MLP FiM with my partner. Since then my priorities changed; I realized I really like these two characters and I would love to get them as figures. And even though Shining Armor is a bit crusty, they are both in great condition! I'm very thankful to have some accessories for them, too. ♥

Twilight Sparkle (My Little Pony G4)

Reason number three: Twilights. I already have two Twilight figures, both without wings. Getting one with them feels more lore appropriate, even though I'll always love wingless Twilight Sparkle more. Us old people remember these times, haha.
First Twilight Sparkle is from Crystal Princess Palace playset released in 2013. She even has her orange dress, which I forgot to include in the photo. She didn't stay too long with me, as I've gifted her to my beloved friend Lumine, who is the biggest human resemblance of Twilight Sparkle and also her biggest collector I've ever seen. She was meant to be hers, and I was sure she doesn't have her in her collection yet.
Second Twilight was released much later, in 2017 in Friendship Express Train playset. She is staying with me. I really like how pale she is compared to my previous Twilight figures, therefore being more different from them. When it comes to MLP, I don't like it when my figures are way too similar and there aren't much differences between them.

Skywishes (My Little Pony G4)

Reason number four: Skywishes! God, I love it when G3 characters are recycled into G4. Skywishes is one of those recycled ponies, of course. I know background ponies tends to be expensive, which makes me even more thankful that I've finally managed to snatch one. ♥

Ploomette (My Little Pony G4)

Reason number five: Trading, yippeee! The rest of this article belongs to ponies I already had in my collection, and therefore they are looking for a new home. Ploomette has been in my herd since 2021, in mint condition. Luckily, this Ploomette already found a loving home in Poland, I traded her for Pinkie Pie from 3rd generation. ♥

Fluttershy (My Little Pony G4 glimmer wings)

Some of you may remember that I got Fluttershy with glimmer wings for Christmas last year from my partner. And of course that Fluttershy is the one and only in my heard, so I don't need a second one. I was considering putting the first one back into her original box (because I got her brand new) and keeping this one loose, but I don't consider myself to be THAT much of an G4 fan to have MIB figures.

Rarity (My Little Pony G4 Rainbow Power) & Rainbow Dash (My Little Pony G4)

Christine, Katie & Zephyra (Filly Elves)

And that's all for now! I can't really tell whether these ponies are still available for a trade or not, because I'm pre-writing this article and let's say that my doubles are selling on Aliexpress rather quickly~

See ya later, alligator!
