My Little Pony advent calendar

Hello, everypony!

Today I decided to show you the advent calendar I got for Christmas 2025. It's a licenced My Little Pony calendar of ponies from 5th generation and I bought it on Aliexpress. I already shared opening it in my instagram stories, but I didn't properly name the ponies there, either because I didn't know the characters or they didn't have any official names. Such ponies needed a new name from me; I'll be adding little * to their names so that you know which ones are official characters from the game and which ones got a new identity in my herd.

Let's take a closer look. I have mixed feelings about the figures, especially their little snouts and mouths - the longer you look at them, the creepier they get. So why did I bought them anyway? 

Izzy Moonbow & Minty

The main reason why I bought this calendar is because of Izzy and Minty. I don't consider myself to be a big fan of 5th generation, but I really love Izzy and I'd like to have as many various figures of this character as possible. And for Minty... It's Minty, duh! We all need more Minty figures in our lives. I'm so happy to have them both! ♥

Sunny Starscout, Pipp Petals & Zipp Storm

The rest of the main characters, minus Hitch Trailblazer because for some reason he is a guy so he has a smaller amount of various figures. I will never understand why some main characters are more produced than others, but whatever.

 

Zoom Zephyrwing & Ruddy Sparks

I have no idea who these characters are. I only saw the first G5 movies twice, and if there is more of them then I haven't seen them yet and I don't plan to change that for a long time. I simply didn't like it that much, no big deal. I like the red guy though, he is spicy.

 

Dazzle Feather, Shutter Snap & Queen Haven

More characters I don't know, except the Queen Haven I guess. I wanted to say that I like the middle pony, because naturally I'm a big fan of mint green color... But the way her body is see-through, it creates this weird effect, almost as if the plastic she is made of is dirty on the inside. Gives me the ick.

 

Snowflank* & Scarfy Heart*

Two ponies I named myself because they are not official characters from the movies. I honestly love them and love the way their horns are painted. Snowflank is a obvious name, but I'm very proud of the name I come up with for the second pony; the cutiemark they have looks like a heart wrapped in a scarf, which is so cute! ♥

 

Argyle Starshine, llamacorn & Phyllis Cloverleaf

These are the biggest weirdos of the batch - Sunny's dad, llama with hair implants and a capitalistic pony with stonks on their flank. I'm very fascinated by these, and not in a good way. Opening these was my first time noticing that none of the ponies have lower part of their mouth, just a hole under the nose. Basically they are all jawless. That's scary. 
Aspoň nemůžou mít plnou hubu keců, protože v první řadě ani nemají půlku huby.

Lovercup* & Gardenia Snow*

Another pair of ponies I named myself and had way too much fun with it. The first unicorn looks a bit like "reversed Izzy" and I love her. She has a little cup with a tiny smoke over it in a shape of a heart, thus getting the name Lover+cup. The other pony reminded me of Gardenia Glow, just with a pastel winter-y twist and with a pretty snowflake instead of the flower on her flank. So let's say that Gardenia Glow and Gardenia Snow are cousin, except that Snow is from the north and has a beautiful garden full of ice statues. ♥

There were also some fascinating animals! I didn't name them, frankly I don't even need them in my collection. It's such a shame they have horns, otherwise I would pair them with my G4 blindbag figures - having Angel and Winona for my Fluttershy and Applejack.

As a big cat lover and an admirer of all reptiles, I like this set of animals much more. I also love the color shades they have. I'm happy to have something that resembles Gummy at least a bit. Now I need to fight the urge to cut their horns.  

This is one of the low-effort slightly sarcastic articles, but you know, sometimes I need to express that I lowkey regret buying some ponies and sets, especially when they are this ugly. This advent calendar is not great and not terrible. I bought it mostly to add a bit more magic to my Christmas experience, but as some of you already know, this was the worst Christmas of my life and everytime I look at these figures, all I can think of is: "Oh, I opened these few days before both of my cats died, great!" If it wasn't for Izzy, Minty and the no-name characters, I would probably sell the whole set already. Now that I've finally took photos of all these tiny fuckers, I can put them in a box and hide them among other ponies for who-know how long. Bye, you weird gummy-beary half-mouthed stinkers.
